Core Payouts

How Scoring Works

Every winning hand has a value printed on its card line — for example, 25¢ or 30¢. When you win, read that value from the card and say it out loud so the table knows the starting amount.

Three main things change what each player pays:

  1. Who discarded the winning tile? The discarder pays more.
  2. Did the winner draw the winning tile? On a self-draw, everyone pays more.
  3. Did the winning hand use Jokers? No Jokers means everyone pays more.
